After clearing SSB of Navy and Army, joined the Indian Army and there was no looking back since then.
2003: Joined Officers Training Academy after clearing the process of SSB.
2004: Got commissioned in Pattan as the first unit in Jammu & Kashmir. Served the Indian Army for 15 years.
2009: Was selected in the Indian Army Woman Sky Diving Team in Bangalore. Was kept as a stand by due to fractured wrist. Despite a fractured left wrist, Major Dhasmana continued her learnings of the sport on the ground, healed her wrist and attended future Skydiving camps in the Indian Army.
2010: Was nominated and selected to lead rapids of River Teesta of 70 KM with 2 JCOs and 14 soldiers.
2013: While in service, did her Advanced Program in Strategy for Leaders with her civil counterparts to navigate global industry and corporate.
2018: Took release to take on a second challenging career in corporate.
She was featured in Corporate Citizen as one of the successful transitions. Military to Corporate is never smooth, yet after her learnings in the Army, Major Dhasmana continued her familiarization with the VUCA of Industry with her academics. She worked with organizations like Vedanta, Wells Fargo, and Genpact in strategic leadership roles to understand the dynamics of industry and global competition.
Her hunger and passion for serving the nation draw her to research in Strategic Studies. Where there is a will, there is a way - Durban University of Technology crossed her way. As part of the BRICS Research Institute in South Africa, she presented and published her research papers in the global space and journals. Major Dhasmana has published more than 20 articles in various digital and print media, providing insights into the changing global order. She continues to expand her rich, diversified experience in International Relations in her research and conversations on Geoeconomics and Geopolitics. Major Namrata Dhasmana is an empaneled Independent Director and Entrepreneur.
